Update on COVID-19

Financial Horizons Group is committed to the health and wellbeing of our advisor partners, employees and communities. As we all continue to navigate the COVID-19 situation, we want to reassure you that we remain committed to you, your business, and your clients' needs. We are here for you.

We continue to monitor developments related to COVID-19, using the latest details from The World Health Organization (WHO)The Canadian Public Healthy Agency and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Our executive and risk management teams have been working diligently as the situation evolves and responding with the best interests of you, your clients and our communities in mind. We have a strong business continuity plan in place, and we continue to work to ensure we are responding and adapting as the ongoing global situation evolves.

Our escalated response strategy

The new protocols that follow are temporary and in response to COVID-19.

  • We remain open for business with all non-essential employees working remotely. Only essential employees will remain in our offices in order to support critical functions requiring a physical presence.
  • Advisors may pick up/drop off documents by appointment only – these are to be scheduled in advance through the office Branch Office Coordinator.
  • Visits to the office should be no longer than 15 minutes. This means 15 minutes per day. This applies to all visitors (non-essential employees, advisors, etc.).
  • No meetings allowed in the office during this time.
  • Employees, visitors, and housed advisors who have tested positive for COVID-19 will be required to:
    • Self-isolate for 14 days as per health authorities and therefore are not to enter our offices during this time. They must also either:
      • Refrain from entering our offices for an additional 14 days (therefore they must not enter our offices for a total of 28 days after positive test result) or;
      • Produce a negative test prior to entering our offices.
    • In either case, they must be symptom free for a minimum of 24 hours prior to entering our offices.

Our local branch offices are well equipped to follow current safety guidelines and we are monitoring developments from coast to coast so that we can respond to local needs. If you are unsure about the protocols at your local office, don't hesitate to reach out to them. They will be happy to help you.

Please contact your local branch office to confirm the relevant status.
